FAQ

Common questions

Why "Load unpacked" instead of the Chrome Web Store?

ScriptMonkey is a private extension — it isn't published to the Web Store. Loading it unpacked gives you the exact same functionality with no store review delay.

Will it stop working after I close Chrome?

No. Once loaded, Chrome remembers the extension across restarts. You only need to repeat the process if you move or delete the extracted folder.

Can I import scripts from Tampermonkey?

Yes. ScriptMonkey reads standard userscript metadata blocks (// ==UserScript==). Export your scripts as .js files from Tampermonkey and import them from the ScriptMonkey dashboard.

Where are my scripts stored?

In Chrome's extension storage (synced locally). You can export every script as a backup from the dashboard at any time.
